Philosophy of education is looking for answers on questions about place, function, mission of the education, eventually educational institutions in human life and society. The contribution based on anthropological findings about crudeness of a child, who needs a long period of purposeful preparation for its physical, intellectual and mental maturity. The old Greeks called it scholé. Instruction and education is not only private servicc but necessary part of society reproduction in three points at least: firstly to protect children and youngsters, who must not be prematurely exposed to hardness of everyday life, secondly to help them to become independent human being (persons) and also members of their socicty and thirdly to provide them with neccssary knowledge and skills to be able to compctc in this society and to be able to take their part of responsibility over. From these assumptions we can deduce the „minimal“ requirements for content and form of school teaching.
