Vyd\u00e1n\u00ed druh\u00e9ho \u010d\u00edsla je chyst\u00e1no na 30. 8. 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3\/2017<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Special Issue call for abstracts \u201cRelationship of Spoken Language Skills and\u00a0 Literacy Acquisition (ENG2017)\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Editors:\u00a0 Seidlova Malkova Gabriela, Spackova Klara<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Linkages between spoken language development and typical and \/ or atypical literacy development attract enormous attention of research throughout the recent decades. While there is actually a huge and comprehensive knowledge on language and literacy development relationship in English speaking populations, the research from other languages, esp. Slavonic ones, tends to develop slowly and with the less attention from the international audience. For this special issue we preferably invite authors to submit abstracts of research and review articles based on research conducted in Slavonic languages.<\/p>\n<p>We are interested in a mix of studies using various approaches to study spoken language skills and literacy (reading and or spelling) developmental relationship. We prefer preschool, school and youth age children targeted research manuscripts. Original research submissions, methodological papers, and review papers will be considered. The content of the manuscript should preferably slope into <u>four general topics<\/u>:<br \/>\n1) The role of spoken language skills in the reading and\/or spelling skills development<br \/>\n2) Language skills of at risk groups of literacy development (dyslexia, specific language impairment)<br \/>\n3) Development of literacy of various at risk of literacy populations<br \/>\n4) Language skills with the relationship to the literacy development \u2013 various issues in assessment<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission and Review Timeline<\/strong><br \/>\nResearches are encouraged to submit an abstract on their work related to the special issue theme. Abstracts must be written in English and may be up to 250 words in length. Abstracts of an original articles of an empirical nature should clearly state: Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions and should follow APA recommendations. Abstracts will be evaluated by the editors of the special issue. The authors will be notified via e-mail whether their full paper would be considered for review. Each of the selected paper will undergo a double-blind review process.
