Valid from 2023\/2024<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

BSE has two parts:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Oral exam (History of Music, Harmony, Theory of Musical Instruments, Musical Forms, Composition Analysis) in a form of a student\u00b4s talk followed with a discussion.<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Practical exam of Voice education, Instrumental Study and Conducting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ad 1) Oral Exam<\/u><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Song forms \u2013 chamber music in the early romanticism. (Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Smetana \u2013 songs and piano compositions)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. Sonata form \u2013 from Scarlatti to the Vienna classicism. (Clementi, Dus\u00edk, Kuhlau, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Myslive\u010dek \u2013 a movement in a sonata form)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      1. Symphonie \u2013 sonata cycle in an orchestral music. Programme music. (Berlioz, Smetana, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k \u2013 a part of a short score of a symphonic composition)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Opera \u2013 the origin and the most important reformers \u2013 Monteverdi, Gluck, Wagner. (An aria from a short score)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
            \n
          1. The basic tectonics principles of music (repetition and contrast) and their explication in the forms of rondo and variations. (Couperin \u2013 rondeau, H\u00e4ndel \u2013 ciacona, Mozart, Beethoven \u2013 rondo movements from sonatas, variations, Brahms)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
              \n
            1. Fugue \u2013 the top of a counterpoint composition. (Bach or other composers \u2013 a fugue)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                \n
              1. The development of dances \u2013 from Baroque suite to idealized dances. (Bach \u2013 a dance movement from an English, French or German suite, Chopin \u2013 a valse or a mazurka, Smetana \u2013 a polka)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                  \n
                1. Atonal music and serial music. (Basic possibilities to work with a dodecaphony row, Sch\u00f6nberg \u2013 F\u00fcnf Orchesterst\u00fccke)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                    \n
                  1. Impressionism and its means of expression. (Debussy, Nov\u00e1k, Suk)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                      \n
                    1. Concert\u00a0 – concerto grosso and solo concert. (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, \u010cajkovskij)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                        \n
                      1. Neoclassicism. (Prokofjev, Hindemith, Krej\u010d\u00ed)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                          \n
                        1. Liturgical music \u2013 gregorian chant, a mass, protestant choral, choral prelude. (Gregorian chant, liturgical song, part of an mass ordinarium, Mozart \u2013 Requiem, Smetana \u2013 T\u00e1bor, Blan\u00edk)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                          Notices:<\/p>\n

                          –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 student prepares to each theme a lecture in cca 10 minutes which is supplied with a practical illustration (vocal or instrumental).<\/p>\n

                          –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 the most of musical material is possible to find in Herden, J.: Rozbor skladeb (\u010c\u00edtanka p\u0159\u00edklad\u016f).<\/p>\n

                          Ad 2) Practical Exam <\/u><\/p>\n

                          Demonstration of instrumental (piano or violin) and vocal skills.<\/p>\n

                          The program in the length of cca 10 min. is necessary to consult with teachers.<\/p>\n
