The introductory paper of the CPdS (CSaV) from the 1st meeting of the creative constituency of the CSFR after November 17th, 1989 at the all-country konference in Brno held on the theme „J. A. Comenius‘and the time present“ (25th-26th March, 1991) is a contribution to the analysis of the contemporary Czechoslovak education, and a challenge for looking after a new educational orientation. It deliminates 3 correlative tasks of the educational science. The diagnostic and evaluation trend follows the analysis of historical causes and consequences of our new-time crisis Concepcional and projection efforts demand the professional preparation of realistic strategies, alternatives and programmes with a sufficiant materialization of near, intermediate and further perspectives. The groundwork of all the new educational conceptions should be seen in in the orientation on humaine values and the complex - as complex as possible - development of the creative potentional of each man. The education to democracy deserves special attention. The 3rd set of tasks is of the materialization character. The solvation methods
should be professional and democratic consequentionally. The decision-making on the basis of the majority consensus should be finisched at the point where evident knowledge starts. The teachers’ training should accept the humanitarian stratégy concerning the full personality development, his or her creativity, the cultivation of the man’s many-sided interrealtions with the man’s world in advance; otherwise it will not fulfil the innovation function but the retardation one.
