Re-contextualizing Views of the Educational Process under the Influence of Radical Individual Constructivism and Post-modern Social Constructivism The survey-study deals with two of the contemporary streams of thought (radical individual constructivism and post-modern social constructivism) and with their view of the processes associated with in-formation and education. The pragmatic and functional change of perspective by those streams of thought is described by R. Rorty as „recontextualisation“. The author compares and contrasts both conceptions, points at the differences in their objectives, at the difference of emphases (individual vs. social), but proves that there is no difference in paradigms. That leads him to the refutation of the notion that they are opposites.
