Authors of educational standards do not draw from the theory of these standards, because it has not been defined properly yet. This is the reason why some mistakes occur, as the bricľanalyses of the educational standards developed so far points out. The proposition of definition of standardnorms and standard-suggcstions follows. The example of its creation is described on the natural sciences content. The intention of article is to contribute to the discussion on the theory and practice of educational standards.
