In the years 1984 and 1994 the individual meanings of terms were measured among the students of the Pedagogical Faculty. These terms were related to education and schools. From comparing the both measurings it ensues that there has been a shill in understanding of particular terms. Generally, we can notice a certain decrease of the potential factor in nearly all studied terms. The conclusion is that all studied terms now influence the students less than they did 10 years ago.
