In connection with movements on the Czech pedagogic scene, the authors try for interpretation and deeper theoretical reasons of selected topical educational issues. The arguments for enlightening an import of a natural history education gather especially from the postmodemistic philosophical works of R. Rorty, historical works of science of T. S. Kuhn, epistemological and psychological works of J. Piaget and also pedagogical works describing children’s naive ideas and interpretation of a pedagogic resolution of discussed epistemologie questions is defined on an example of working natural historical education project of University of Hawai. The article tries to look for deeper theoretical reason of educational phenomena announcing germs of a new paradigm of education.
