The change of regime in autumn 1989 caused also a deep change of way of formation and realisation of educational policy. New educational laws enabled rise of non-state schools and other profressive changes. Thank to revolutionary hurry there are also some negative changes in the legeslation and a danger of a bigger centralization. Paper introduces present state of Czech educational political scene and describes roles of individual subjects. At the end, the importance of influencing public and raising its interest in questions of educational policy is highlighted.
