After the Warsaw Agreement Armies Intevention in 1968 and after the November Revolution in 1989 the Czech pedagogics has been desorientated and only partly useful for the school practice. The individualization is being pushed forward onesidedly this being the reaction on former uniformity.
A revision of the subject pedagogics is demanded. The subject of the traditional education (children's and young people's education) is thought to be narrow by the educationalists. They prefer the term "science of education" to the term pedagogics andey understand education to be one of elementary social functions as well as one of the basic signs of a man. The concept of education as a purposeful activity, as the personality forming is held to be narrow, etc.
The consequence of the tendencies given above is the tumbling of our education, its development retardation, a certain stagnaion, the threat of a crisis is being pointed out.
