The qualitative and quantitative evaluating of educational projects, especially of the school-schedules and textbooks, ought to be carried out before their verifying by the means of a pedagogical experiment, and that especially with a consideration for the capability of those documents to realize the desirable educational goals.
The contribution informs about an original research method elaborated for that purpose, and verified by the workers of the team SPVZ IX-10-2/2 specialized for the field of education in mathematics and natural sciences on the level of basic and secondary schools.
The contribution gives a brief explanation of the concept „validity of a textbook“, of the procedure how the desirable educational goals were specified, and that in the school-subjects mathematics and natural sciences, as well as of the standards of the validity (examples being given from the textbook of chemistry), and on this foundation the proper methodology of the investigation is explained. The methodology applied consists of passing judgements on possible problematic statements by competent experts, and if needed, of other supplementary methods.
