The problems of ideological-moral consciousness include a wide complex of questions, which are still not satisfactorily answered. The autors of this contribution tried to analyse some aspects of these problems at which they have used results of partial investigation made by the team of researchers at the Pedagogical Faculty in Prešov.
Analysing the contemporary level of ideological-moral consciousness of the students attending Secondary Vocational Training Schools, the authors point at the very close relation between the world outlook orientation and aesthetic consciousness of the students. The authors use the results of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the research materials which were reached by questionnaire technique. This analysis is complemented by facts asquired by application of the pedagogical experiment that should point at possibilities of intencional educational influence of the teachers.
At the end of the study shortcomings are mentioned that are useful from the point of further increasing of efficiency of ideological-moral consciousness at the Secondary Vocational Training Schools, and that appear in the process of forming ideological-moral consciousness of students, as well as conclusions and recommendations for improving activity in the sphere of communist education of the students of the Secondary Vocational Training Schools.
