This study draws attention to the acute need of solving questions of pedagogical goal. It outlines the problem of methodological procedures in constitutive and operational defining of the goal in connection with the identification of possible theoretical aspects of its investigation. A survey is given of the extent and content of the division of labour among scientific disciplines on education as real and potential contributors to an all-round solution of the complex set of problems concerning the pedagogical goal. Its solution is very important and urgent both from the viewpoint of increasing the effectiveness of educational practice and from the viewpoint of constructing a theory of programme projects of teaching and extra-class education. In handling the focal tasks of the didactic science (pedagogy) in questions of goal, stress is laid on interdisciplinary approach and transdisciplinary approach to the analysis, synthesis and modelling of finalized relationships. The author delimits the role and focal work content of the didactic science (pedagogy) in handling goal, questions in the context of the innovation cycle: research — development — education — use of education in practical life, and appraisal in these system processes as feedback to these processes of reproduction of social values.
