There are the follow ing main tasks of the education at higher schools (universities, colleges) in the present phase of our development, as standing out when the educational situation of today is confronted with the aims of communist education:
1. To make more intensive the education for acquiring the scientific Conception of the World.
2. To develop the scientific creative activity of students in consideration o f the tasks of communist construction.
3. To develop working morale ahd responsibility of every individuum for a collective.
4. To strengthen the universality in the learning matter of all components of the educational process.
The acquiring of the scientific conception of the world has to guide students to that,
In the materialistic dialectics, they found a basis of their scientific and other creative activity and a solid support for solving also personal situations of life and for understanding the proper sense of life in harmony with social interests. It is to be used also in teaching technical subjects. There has not always been known the reason of how to understand the harmonical unity of professional teaching and the ideological components of education. On the political education there helps a selection, organization and explication of the learning-matter from the social point of view ; further a pedagoglcally counterballanced coordination of the subjects of higher schools, and a combination of theoretical and practical subjects. Students learn to think in complexes, they get to know deeper correlations of facts and in studied process to make differences between substantial and secondary factors. In moral education at higher schools (universities, colleges) first it is necessary to accent the education for a creative work. Actions against failing and fall in studies cannot be solved by an orientation to mechanical mastering the knowledges for the purposes of examinations. In the morality of work of study, the claims have to be raised and ior this It Is necessary to find proper forms, methods and means of educational activity as the w o rk of students without assistance, active forms of teaching, praxis, scientific student creative work. The character qualities like perseverance, laboriousness, assiduity are till then Important for our socialist society If they are connected with the principles of moral codex of the builders of communism.
A necessary part of moral education is also a complect valuation of students, i. a. according to all sides of their activity, interests, intelectual and practical level, but also according to ideological and political, moral side and to the character. This is to be done also in respect to their development during studies. There are follow ing methodical ways how to strengthen ideological and political and moral education: Relations botween school and life by ¡means of various praxis the students pass through; further organic connection of all social organizations, under the leading of the communist perty, with educational process; the educational methods and instruments o f internal school work being set in harmony with the alter school activity of students. Students should become also subjects of education and contribute to the valuation of themselves.
In connection with these questions, also the question of the professor is to be solved. A new type of socialist professor is developing; the scientific interest and pedagogical activity are structurally united, didactic and other regards unite the regards of universal education of a student. The condition of the success of his work, from the pedagogical point of view, is a good acquaintance with students, an individual access to them In the compass of collective education, exact verification of the effect of educational process. This all is to be done in mutual cooperation of all professors of the teaching staff. This teaching staff is a part of unified educational collective of the whole school to which the collectives o f students belong. The socialist professor is educated in pedagogical and psychological disciplines. The condition of his successfull work, besides high scientific expert knowledge and creative power, is even his universal culture as well as a high level o f knowledge of marxism-leninlsm, verified also by a practica) activity in the politics and culture.
