A general programme of health education is out lined in 16 thematic groups. This gives rise to a system the focus of which is in two t basic areas: the area of movement and that of mental hygiene. This section is organically followed by a chapter about methods, forms and media of health education dealt with from the educational and hygienic viewpoint. On the basis of an analysis of the questions dealt with the author draws conclusions and makes recommendations, being aware of the fact that the contemporary school assumes an ever-increasing responsibility for the health education of the pupils. There still proved to be a great many shortcomings in the theoretical study questions concerning health education our children and youth, and its practice1 application proved to be unfavourably influenced also by the fact that little attention was paid to applying education principles.
