Filip Kachnič

 

Filip Kachnič is a Ph.D. Student at the Institute for Research and Development of Education, Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague. His research focuses on assessment of conditions for learning of immigrant students attending upper secondary grades and collection of best practices for learning of those students. He holds a Master degree in German and Philosophy. He has 10 years of extensive experience with integration of migrant/refugee children from around 40 schools in Sweden. He was also leading a social inclusion group for refugees in Norway and working with unacommpanied refugee children in asylum houses in Sweden. Together with his wife he provided foster care to a refugee child.

Currently, he is collecting data from Czech schools educating immigrant students. Visegrad Fund supports this research by approving him the Visegrad Scholarship Program.
