Publishing ethics policy

Publishing ethics policy of Didaktické studie

Editors of “Didaktické studie” journal proceed from the Code of Conduct by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) available at www.publicationethics.org.

Texts published in “Studies”, “Projects” and “Application” sections are reviewed by the editor and sent to peer review process to at least two independent reviewers each from a different institution than the author‘s institution. Editors are responsible for selecting appropriate peer reviewers who have sufficient subject matter expertise, organizing of peer review process and monitoring timeliness. Review process should not take more than three months from the moment of receiving the contribution by editors. Texts published in “Review” and “Reports” sections undergo internal review procedures and are reviewed by members of the editorial board. In case reviewers disagree, editors may seek further review from an expert (didactics specialist, linguist, educator, psychologist). Only original texts are accepted for publication, editors do not accept texts that were already published or accepted for publication elsewhere, i.e. in other periodicals, in books or online. This also applies to foreign-language versions of texts.

The journal publishes only the texts that have been reviewed and whose authors collaborate and respond to comments and criticisms in case of such.
In case a contribution submitted to the journal was already published elsewhere, the editorial board will exclude it despite any positive review process result. Editors of the journal as well as collaborating experts respect the confidentiality, which means any information about the texts reviewed must not be communicated to anyone other than the author, reviewers or the publisher. Information from research presented in the reviewed texts must not be used by editors or reviewers in their own research.

Publishers, editors, reviewers and authors adhere themselves to politically correct expression principles and do not discriminate against anyone because of their race, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender and political thought.
The journal is published both in printed form and online (open access) and does not accept any financial award.
