The Inter-relatedness of the Choice of Learning Content, Process of Identifícation of Student Performance and the Conceptions ofTeachers. The Importance of the Empirical Results of Research into the Didactics of Biology Using the Example of the Teaching of Evolution
Sincethe 1990s constructivist approaches háve been ušed to interpret and explore students‘ and teachers‘ conceptions in Czech and Slovák pedagogical literatuře. The curriculum reform is an opportunity to implement the constructivist approach into schools. Stressingthe importance of its implementation in thepractice of instruction and education, we discuss empirical results in the field of biology education.
Education is a complex process. Within this network of relations we need to identify the elements that are key for the success of training and education. This páper focuses on the empirical results in respect of certain key components: choice and structuring of the learning content, student assessment and the design of the learning environment by the teacher. These three aspects are presented as an integrál part of the research framework, Model of Education Reconstruction for Teacher Education.
