Annotation:
In order that our new school can better prepare our youth for the exacting tasks of communist construction, it must provide higher education and deepen the communist consciousness of the youth. All the educational work of the school must be subordinated to this goal. The characteristic qualities of the builder of communism are activity and creative work. One of the most effective means for training these qualities is independent work done by pupils themselves. It originates from inner impulses and aims at socially useful results. The development of the pupils’ activity and independence is closely linked with the revision of traditional forms and methods of educational work, with seeking, discovering and using the most effective methods and forms of work. Teachers who cooperate with theoretical workers and research workers can greatly contribute towards coping with this momentous task. Experimental work in physical training at schools has brought many valuable experiences regarding qualitative changes in the P. T. process, confirmed the creative abilities of our teachers, their enthusiasm for creative methodological work, showed the way of effectively propagating more efficacious methods and forms of educational work. We are facing the task of winning all teachers for creative work, deepening and developing the methodological work of the Institute for Further Education of Teachers, of the P. T. departments at Teachers’ Training Colleges, getting the teachers to participate in scientific research and, on the other hand, getting scientific workers to share in the practical work of the school, for fruitful co-operation between the teacher-innovator and the educationalist research worker is undoubtedly one of the conditions of the internal reform of the school.
