This article considers the theme of gender sensitivity in the nursery school. It is based on a research probe that focuses on the everyday situations of pupils arising above all from interactions between female teachers and children. It seeks to identify one of the areas of the hidden curriculum of the school. The author uncovers as it were the gender regime of the class, consisting of five areas. Through analysis and interpretation of the situations involved the author draws attention to gender stereotypes - visible but at first sight hard to recognise.
