For educational research, the model of Educational reconstruction is fundamental. A key assumption of the model is that by having a more intimate knowledge of the student‘s ideas, the curriculum developer can create a curriculum content that is more adequate to the student‘s understanding of the subject. The model is based on three research areas: first, an analysis of the content structure and the concepts behind it allow scientific clarification of the subject matter. The second area deals with the empirical investigation of learners‘ own views and notions in relation to any specific fact or subject thus allowing a better comprehension of the student‘s perspectives. Finally, in educational structuring, the structure of the subject matter is obtained by relating the students‘ perspective to the scientific perspective. Hence, subjects can be taught in accordance with the learners‘ perspectives. Theoretical assumptions of the model are also discussed in the article.
