The research report follows the article entitled „The Role of-Parents in Relation to School - Theoretical Concepts“ in which various forms of parental roles vis-a-vis the school are presented: parents as clients (customers), partners, citizens. Using set indicators, the authors confront these theoretical starting-points with the findings of the questionnaire survey which was undertaken among representatives of schools and parents in Czech kindergartens and elementary schools chosen at random. The results are subsequently interpreted on the basis of several independent variables which can be presumed to affect the various types of parental roles in relation to school, eg. size of settlement, size, degree and type of school etc.
