Home education represents a possible alternative of attendance to school. It reflects the changing importance and position of parents in the child‘s education. The article deals with certain factors affecting educational results, e.g. size of the class, time spent learning, the incorporation of the topics discussed into the context of child‘s and family‘s life, examinating and evaluation in school, reaction to failure. It also deals with the socialization of the child and emotional assistance in learning. All the parameters followed indicate that contemporary school does not create sufficient conditions to ensure such a group-size, contextualization, emotional support as can be provided by the family and as ensures a more adequate development of the child.
