The present paper summarizes the results of the research aimed at the attractiveness of the school education for presentday pupils in age from 10 to 16 years. The research has been based on the investigation of the pupil’s approach to particular teaching objects, which constitutes, when summed-up in the object groups, the attitude of pupils towards different components of school education (i. e. education in languages, science education, etc.) and, in total summation, towards the school education as a whole.
From the results of the research follows, that with increasing age of pupils the attractiveness of the school education decreases to a certain extent in general, but especially in the component of science education as the consequence of the increasing bourdensomeness of the teaching material in physics and first of all in chemistry.
