(EN) Topical Problems Concerning the Intensification of the Educational Process

Questions concerning the intensification of the educational process have become very topical, especially in recent years. This is connected with the growth of knowledge brought about by the scientific and technological progress. With regard to this fact, but also with regard to the growth in knowledge about the substance of the teaching process, pedagogy is triyng to deal with the disproportions between the increasing amount of knowledge and the possibilities of the educational process. Modernizing the content of education, as well as working with it „more consistently“ in classroom instruction, is one of the possibilities of intesifying the educational process. However, not only the content of education, but also the teacher’s methods of work deserve our attention. It seems that activating methods are not being sufficiently used. The modernizing efforts do not often produce desirable results because the teachers’ approach to these efforts is not comprehensive. To intensify the educational process means, among other things, to pay increased attention to application of those conceptions of the teaching process that have already been verified in the USSR, as well as to the character-building aspect of instruction. It appears that more attention should be paid to the following principles: unity of character training and education, communist ideological background and political awareness in education, linking up education with the life of society and with practice, leading role of the teacher and active participation of pupils in education.
