In the article an information is given on an experimental entirely integrated model of a generally educational content of education and instruction which is being verified in the Bulgarian People’s Democratic Republic at present. The model proceeds from criticism of traditional contents of the teaching, its key problems, negative features and antagonism. The problems are solved in the way of a radical change based on up-to date, most modern and most perspective characteristics of the contemporary social knowledge. Principle features of the new model are its complexity and integrity. All those efforts have resulted in elaborating a set of non-traditional complex school subjects whose foundations being activities at the first grade, integrated disciplines (language and mathematics, nature, society and production) at the second grade.
When elaborating new textbooks, a new attitude is being realized: they involve a number of progressive elements, such as a minimalized text with a selection of elementary concepts, where the non-text components are being reinforced. The potentional effectivity of that model is based on maximal possibilities of a racional exploitation of the teaching time, and the operationality of the teaching items in relation with the given input, on the pupils’ motivation for their getting to know. The determining factor in the teaching is the pupil, the all-round development of his personality, his both actual and perspective needs and possibilities, the logics of his getting to know, his emotional experiences and interests.
