An ever-increasing role played by personality is a logical tendency of development of a Socialist society, whose supreme law is an all-round and harmonious development of the creative personality.
The starting point of Socialist pedagogy is Marx’s conception of “total man” for whom creative activities are a basic necessity and an end itself, because they are freed from the pressures of making a living i. e. from forced activities. Under the new historical conditions Marx’ heritage was developed in a creative way by V. 1. Lenin, who made a profound analysis of the real situation of man in a capitalist society and pointed out the way leading to man’s alienation being liquidated and to the possibility of conditions being created for the education of a new man — builder of Socialism — creator of a new society.
In psychology creativeness is always understood, after all, as a mental act (i. e. activity, activities) of a subject, consisting in restructuralization of experience with regard to current reality in such a quality that it gives rise to (an individual acquires or manifests) a new, original creation resulting from external or internal activities to find an adequate solution of a problem (situation) that has arisen. In judging an individual’s creativity we assess his ability to adopt, in the process of his inter-action with the conditions and circumstances of life and activities, new non-stereotyped and meaningful solutions.
The point is to see to it that the system of training of the adolescent generation and the stimulation of citizens of active age respond to the qualitatively new demands on mental powers, that the development of creativity is not left at the mercy of spontaneous influences of external conditions and circumstances, and that effective methods and means are chosen for the formation, and/or development, of the capabilities of any individual to meet the newly updated demands and requirements of the environment and activities in a creative manner.
