(EN) Soviet Educationists about the Comprehensive Approach to Education

The article surveys the problems involved in a comprehensive approach to education during the period of six years which have elapsed since the 25 th Congress of the CPSU, at which L. I. Brezhnev, when speaking about a search for more effective ways in education, put forward the demand for a comprehensive approach to the organization of all education.
The author divides the works of Soviet educationists on the comprehensive approach to education into four groups: 1. works dealing with general theory; 2. works devoted a comprehensive elaboration of a given educational problem; 3. articles about the implementation of the comprehensive approach in practice; 4. studies dealing with the comprehensiveness of pedagogical researches. Each group of works is illustrated by the work of one author selected as a representative of a given viewpoint — E. O. Monoszon, A. A. Bodalev, J. K. Babanskij, Ch. J. Lijmets.
