Solution of the relation of the theory of management and the methodology of the control of education is an important precondition for a correct conception of the techniques of directing educational work. Its basic principle is scientific approach resulting from the complex of the pieces of knowledge in the field of pedagogical and allied sciences and educational practice, from the knowledge of the theory of management and its realization in practice. The complex of these pieces of knowledge and the conclusions derived from them constitutes a basis for the formation of a system of control of the school’s educational work.
The object of the methodology of the control of education as a sphere of creative activity is, primarily, the process of transferring the pieces of knowledge from the theory of management in this field as a sphere of the operation of general laws, into their practical use. It also includes gathering, analysing and studying the experience in supervisory work at schools, dialectically linked to the theory of management, in order to prevent most of the pragmatic generalizations of practical experience.
The principal medium of the technique of directing educational work consists in the methods of controlling this work and their comprehensive application in the controlling activities by the head of the school.
