(EN) The Technical Education in Bangladesh and its Consequences to the economical development

Bangladesh is one of the economically poorest developing countries and can serve as a typical negative example of the expanding disproportion between developing and developed countries. The problem of poverty in developing countries should be seen from the point of view of both the economical and social problematics. Both these aspects are evident especially in the educational area, where an urgent task to proportionally harmonize the social need with the development of personality comes out. A great emphasis is beeing put on the development of technical education, the aim of which is to educate well qualificated specialists of both the secondary and higher levels. Though Bangladesh achieved a rather appreciable progress in this field as in the expansion of the number of technical schools as in the number of students, in absolute proportions this number is still to be found insufficient. The practical solution of this situation remains the task of future. The study of the experiences of developing countries with socialistic orientation more advanced in this respect can contribute to it a great deal.
