(EN) Some Theoretical and Methodological Questions of State Basic Research Plan No VIII-6-7 for the 7th Five-Year-Plan

The study is part of the preparations of the state basic research plan in pedagogical sciences for the years 1981—1985. It is entided “Development of the Socialist Educational System, the Unity of Intellectual and Moral Education in Moulding a Socialist Personality and Socialist Public Consciousness in a Developed Socialist Society”. This study brings an analysis of some theoretical and methodological problems of the planned tasks. Special attention is paid to clarifying the category of effectiveness of education of both youth and adults and to the necessity of a more profound handling of an integral approach to man’s personality in the framework of the main task as a whole.
In the pocess of solving the relationship of theory and practice it is necessary, already in the initial stages of the formulation of scientific problems, to see to it that practice influences the decision-making processes about the problem. A brief analysis is made of the problems involved in passing from abstract concepts to real pedagogical phenomena and processes. A need arises of explaining in greater detail the relationship of the comprehensive approach and the systems approach. In fulfilling the tasks of the basic research attention is also to be paid to the style of scientific thinking in pedagogy. Attention is drawn to the value of prognostic aspects in solving the tasks of the plan.
