(EN) Pedagogical Research in the Years 1976-1979 and its Further Development

The article entided “Pedagogical Research in the Years 1976—1979 and its Further Development” not only brings information about the Czechoslovak pedagogical research in recent years, but also refers to social and theoretical research starting points, to the functions and ways of research work in pedagogy including both basic and applied research, and aims at a notional (conceptual) explanation of these categories of research, taking account of the tasks being solved in the 6th Five-Year-Plan. It also registers the principal aspects of the development of our Marxist pedagogical disciplines and their tasks, especially in the period of realization of the document on the further development of the Czechoslovak educational system.
The article also brings the main characteristics of the works already completed or those nearing completion, and finally shows how the themes in question have been reflected in the work of the Czechoslovak Pedagogical Society and how the latter has contributed to the solution of scientific and research problems in pedagogy.
The concluding part deals with prognostic tasks of our pedagogical science in the next five-year period.
