(EN) The Significance of Family Upbringing for Infants

The author points out in her article that the first three years of a child's life are of decisive importance for the emotional and moral development of the child. The primary requirement for bringing up infants is for the child to have a stable woman-educator with an intense emotion al relationship to the child. The author points out the difficulty of bringing up children in a closed collective, where the continuity of the educational care of one person is lacking. There are two disorders which the author considers to be of greatest consequence, viz. retarded developm ent of speech and disorders of em otional life, the two being closely connected.
