Impaired capacity to communicate in children is an important risk factor for mastery of the read and written form of language. The author of the páper presents the theoretical premises of cur-rent logopedie diagnostics and the possibilities of logopedie diagnostics in the prevention of difficulties in aequisition of reading literacy.
The páper presents a selected part of the results of a research project in a speciál educational centre with a focus on the analysis of impaired capacity to communicate and the hidden risk for successful mastery of reading and writing. At the samé time it outlines the possibilities for deeper logopedie diagnostics in educational counselling facilities that might make an important contribution to prevention of learning difficulties in pupils.
