interrupting employment from two aspects: in the first place he raises the question of acquiring university education in the big enterprises also outside the scope of the traditional system of universities, in the second place he states the principle that extension courses of study provided by the traditional universities for people in employment must become a permanent and organic part of university life, and this must be placed on an absolutely equal footing with the regular form of study.
3. He lays stress on the connection of instruction with productive labour and pronounces the principle that the building of socialism and communism must become the source and the starting point, the criterion and the aim of all activities in the universities. He devotes particular attention to the significance of direct productive labour as a source of knowledge.
