(EN) The Development, Present-Day State and Prospects of the System of Education in the Mother Tongue at the General Education School

The model of the prospective system of education in the mother tongue (MT) proceeds s from the basic conception of the system of communist education (instruction and character training) and the research into that system at a socialist school (B. Kujal, 1972, 1973, 1974). This model (part two of this paper) is based on a system research into (1) the historical development, (2) the present-day state, (3) the realization (functioning) and (4) the theory of education in the MT at the Czech general education school, an furthermore, on (5) a comparative analysis of present-day projects in some of the socialist and capitalist countries. The respective analyses, of which only the main results are given in this paper (part one), are elaborated in partial studies (J. Průcha, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975). The prospective model of the MT system is based on the above-mentioned analyses and on prognostic knowledge in the field of Marxist pedagogy, didactics and sociology of education (especially B. Kujal, 1973; V. N. Turchenko, 1973; T. J. Wiloch, 1974) and on documents concerning the development of Czechoslovak education (the session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia on 3rd and 4th July, 1973, and the like). The principles of creating, verifying and realizing prospective MT models are explained first (part two, 1). The most important part of the paper is the prognosis of the main features of the prospective MT model (part two, 2), which concerns the following areas: the function and position of MT in the prospective system (2.1.); the aims of MT (separately for the 1 st—5 th, 6 th—9 th and 10 th—12 th forms of the general education school — 2.2.); the subject-matter in MT (2.3.); the means and conditions for MT (2.4.); the teacher-pupil relationship in the prospective system of MT (2.5.); the theory of education in MT and the prospective system (2.6.).
