(EN) Starting Points for Tackling the Problem of World Outlook in Pedagogical Theory and Educational Practice

The study proceeds from an analysis of the existing state of work on the problem of instilling the scientific world outlook in the educational process and says that there is an increasing interest in these questions and there are tendencies to concentrate on works of a synthetic nature, which in turn finds expression in work in this field being concentrated in research plans, too. It also says that theoretical work is more intensively being linked with practical solutions required by education. The problem of world outlook is the focal point of the solution and elaboration of the system of education as a whole and thereby it is also one of the starting points for the elaboration of the theoretical foundations of education. On this level the problems involved in instilling the world outlook in education have been tackled very little for the time being, which is connected with shortcomings in the elaboration of pedagogical theory. Failure to work out a system of world-outlook education in the educational system as a whole has led to maintaining the traditional system of education, to intellectualism in educational work. The analysis has resulted in tasks being formulated for further elaboration of world outlook education in pedagogical theory and educational practice, ranging from tasks of a methodological nature to the demand for working out a methodology of instilling the scientific world outlook as regards individual factors as well as individual stages of development. The study then goes on to deal with the question of the methodological value of the problem of world-outlook education for the elaboration of pedagogical theory and the practical educational system. In this context the study deals with the scientific world outlook as an educational aim category, with penetration of ideological objectives of a Socialist society into pedagogical theory, with the synthesizing role of world-outlook education in the system of Communist education, with the promotion of the idea of linking up theory and practice.
