The state of the pupils’ capacity for work is influenced by several outer as well as inner factors. The inner factors include also psychical states, which, if brought into activity, exercise a positive influence on the working capacity of the pupils. Foremost among the psychical states are: the state of readiness and preparedness as well as the motivation of pupils in their classroom work. By the term ≫state of readiness and preparedness of pupils for classroom work≪ we mean the actual mobilization of their functional mental capacity for the coming educational process. It is a kind of ≫pre-start state≪ of the pupils before the lesson. This state is brought into activity by the teacher in the form of the so-called psychological preparation of the pupils at the beginning of the lesson. By the ≫state of motivation≪ we mean the level of inner incentives which lead to active work aiming at the satisfaction of certain needs. The strongest motivation factor in the educational process is interest. Interest brings on a specific psychical state of the personality’s concentrations on getting to know the objects and phenomena of reality. But the state of readiness and preparedness for active work and the state of motivation are important factors increasing the working capacity of pupils in the educational process. If these two states are brought into activity it may considerably increase the effectiveness of classroom work of teacher and pupil alike.
