(EN) A Contribution to an Analysis of the Formation of Some Traits in the Character of Teen-Agers

The authors carried out a research involving fifty Secondary Nursing School pupils. Using the method of long-term observation, dialogue, association experiment and special projective technique, they collected material for analysing the structure and formation of the following traits: the attitude towards the nurse’s work, the attitude towards the patients, self-control. These traits were found to be connected especially with the following motives: the need for activity, the need for social recognition and social position, the need for understanding and emotional contact, the moral factor. Important components of the traits investigated are some habits in behaviour, ways of satisfying one’s needs and coping with difficult situations of life. The traits examined are positively determined especially by those living conditions which introduce the pupil into the position of a responsible person, and by a whole complex of conditions determining the ways of coping with difficult situations of life.
