Biological and psychosocial results show that psycho - somatic relationships are very clousely related and that there really are psycho - neuro - immuno - endocrinological affinities which are disturbed in neuropsychiatric disorders (Faber et al., 1993, Faber, 1998). EEG curves of our 30 children demonstrated some kind of cerebropathy in minimal cerebral palsy (MCP) and attention deficit - hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Our group of children aged 7-13 years consisted of 24 boys and 6 girls. The children were treated by means of EEG-bio- -feedback training (EBFT) and after this therapy were with psychological, neurological and EEG methods re- investigated. After EBFT there was psychological and EEG improvement in about 18 cildren, inclusive of all girls. We can say „about“ because many parameters were used: 11 psychological tests, EEG using the naked eye and spectral analysis during native and quasipsychological tests. Not all improved children were changed in all these parameters and not all the 12 unimproved children showed changes or were impaired in all tests, i.e. that the limits between partialy improved and partialy unimproved children are not sharp. EEG graphs were very abnormal in 26 cases, slightly abnormal in 2 cases, almost normal in another 2 cases. The EEG was improved after EBFT from the optical point of view in 7 cases, from spectral point of view in 18 cases. EEG and psychic improvement occured in the same children. Psychological testing showed above - average IQ in 14 children, average IQ in 16 children. IQ improved after EBFT in 18, remained the same in 11 children, worsened in 1 child. A questionnaire describing psychic characteristic and social relationships was sent to 30 families, but came back completed 22x from school and 21x from family. Estimation sent in from school showed 15 cases, and assessment sent in from families 17 cases of improvement. We can evaluate our 30 children with MCP (ADHD) as a group of diseased children with somatic, cerebral and psychic abnormalities. Two thirds of them were improved after EBFT which itself represents a dividing line between psychotherapy and bio-therapy. EBFT is without side effects and therefore is very suitable for the treatment of MCP children. This method has the relative disadvantage of being time-consuming. All our children need further neurological, psychological, EEG and somatic care and especially a queit, harmonious family milieu.
