Interdisciplinary endeavours of many psycho- analytically inspired educators to reduce the destructive effect of educational processes have proved not to be effective enough. They rather tended to provoke the increase in agressivity of students. The article attempts to clarify this phenomenon and points out to recent knowledge about psychoanalytical principle called Thanatos which represents the alleged instinct basis of both agressivity and the ability to abstract and to create.
