(EN) Possibilities of Controlling the Learning Process in Higher Education

Students’ independent work, education leading to independence and creative approach to solving problems in the field of study constitute one of the crucial aspects in the researches into the sphere of the higher education process. A fundamental starting point for the solution of this task is the possibility of efficient control.
In this article the author deals with the control of the teaching process in higher education by means of the so-called working texts for students designed for ectures, tutorials, seminars and independent study. He proceeds from the wellnown scheme of control by Professor N. F. Talyzinova. He analyses individual elements of this manner of control and describes their application through the intermediary of working texts for students.
For the programming of stimuli (transitional states) he uses Galperin’s theory of the formation of rational operations by stages, which he regards as decisive in the whole system of control. In conclusion, the author mentions some basic tendencies in the development of higher education as indicated by pedagogical experiments, both those already carried out and those under preparation.
