The author of the study gives her reasons for the necessity of the attention which ought to be devoted to the cognition of the pupil’s personality in pedagogy and school practice.
On the basis of the contents analysis of the meaning of the notion of pedagogical diagnostics, she puts its contents determination in the first place. She comes to the conclusion that the requirement for the constitution of the theory of cognition of 3 pupil, as a partial scientific branch of pedagogy, is reasonable. There would be formed the assumptions for a complex study of the pupil’s personality on the level of theoretic cognition which is determined by the needs of pedagogic theory and school practice.
She turns her attention to identification of the process which is aimed at cognition of the pupil’s personality’s development from the point of view of the requirements of pedagogy and of school. The character of the process of the pedagogic diagnostic is determined by her on the background of the relation of pedagogy to the other sciences concerning human beings and on the background of the relation of theory and practice.
The study contributes to the solution of the most topical partial problem of pedagogy, to the identification of the process of pedagogic diagnostics.
