Abstract
Online Business German courses – the student evaluation
The aim of this paper is to draw a first conclusion from the digitised university teaching
due to the worldwide pandemic situation. For this, an explorative study with learners
in the field of German as a foreign language has been used. This essentially involves
synchronous online learning in (business) German courses from level B1+. The results
of the student evaluation show that the respondents assess the online German lessons
positively overall. The clear majority of students are satisfied with what they have
learned in the online German course, but at the same time miss the face-to-face German
lessons. In addition to the descriptive description, there is also a statistical investigation
of the relationships between certain aspects of the quantitative questions as well as the
evaluation of qualitative data.
