Studie se zaměřuje na základě současných snah o reformu školy na vývoj názorů Jana Uhra, týkajících se vnější i vnitřní stránky školské reformy. Na hlubokém filozofickém základu založená reforma, respektující národní tradice i zahraniční tendence je jistou výzvou Jana Uhra i konci 20. století.
Annotation:
The contemporary efforts to reform the Czechoslovak school-system, education and training strike against unsufficient knowledge of both our and foreign reform traditions. The aim of this study is to point at efforts of a distinguished Christian educationalist Jan Uher to devolop a philosophically founded reform of schools in the preriod of the 20s and 30th, and that on the base of an analysis of available sources.
Jan Uher’s work is a synthesis of the national genius and its both democratic and humanistic trends and the progressive educational streams from abroad. Doing this J. Uher extricated himself distinctly from both Czechoslovak reform wings (V. Příhoda, O. Chlup) and and took a stand high above them.
The author makes the reader acquainted with the gradual evolution of J. Uher’s opinions concerning the problems of the exterior side of the reform by which he pays much great-erat’tention to to Uher’s opinions concerning the inner work of the school, emphasizing the idea of an active school, a creative teacher, and a seif-governmental millieu.
Methodologically the contribution is very topical with regard to the contemporary trends in the Czechoslovak school reform, also on the behalf of the fact that a personality of Uher's type is missed very badly.
