The article analyses the state of educational work in the field of Ideology, politics, ethics and world outlook. The first part of the article deals with the fundamental significance of the study sources and the necessity to select texts that are ideologically and pedagogically correct so as to orientate and inspire independent thinking, moral and aesthetic feeling, and the actions of young people for the benefit of socialist society. In the second part an assessment is made of the role and the responsibility of the modern communication media, which have an ever-increasing influence oil the youth’s ideals of life. The third part is devoted to the question of the complexity of educational influences. The school can only play its role if it respects all the complicated hierarchy of the educational factors in a socialist society. In the fourth part a survey is given of the classifications of the basic forms and methods of educational work. In conclusion stress is laid, among other things, on the unity of classroom teaching and education in the broad sense of the word, as two processes conditioning each other. The system of communist education proceeds from the unity of aims as regard content and form, the unity of objective and subjective aims. This unity finds expression primarily in the scientific world outlook, communist partisanship, commitment to the truth, proletarian internationalism, socialist patriotism and humanism, collective ethical feeling, work useful to the community, but also aesthetic judgement, good taste and creativeness inspired by the ideals of the socialist arts. These aims are implemented by an entire complex of educational forms and methods, in which verbal, practical and visual influences are harmoniously combined, and in which the methods of the organization of the educational team, the methods of the process of ideological and moral persuasion and the methods of direct pedagogical influence supplement one another.
