(EN) Professional Pedagogy, Its Position and Programme for Further Development

One of the ways expressing the dynamism of the development of scientific theory as well as that of actual life in a Socialist society is the rise and development of professional pedagogy as an integral part of Marxist-Leninist pedagogy. Professional pedagogy has been constituted as a result of an increasing influence of social, scientific and technological progress, which makes itself felt in the demand for a scientific investigation of those factors which play a part in the formation of a Socialist specialist. The social significance of professional pedagogy consists in the possibilities it has of raising the socio-economic efficiency of its social activities especially that of material production, for it has the possibility of influencing the behaviour of a Socialist man as producer and bearer of all the other social functions. It can help to find new sources of labour productivity and a new quality of social relationships. The methodological feature of professional pedagogy is the binary character of most of the elements investigated, their relationship to education and economics. The feature of its development, especially as regards its relationship to general pedagogy, is the tendency to differentiation .and integration. Professional pedagogy is developing in a relatively independent status, with the aim of dealing with specific problems, but, at the same time, contributing to the creation of a methodological unity in the field of pedagogy as a whole. The programme for its further development proceeds from the hypothesis of social demands concerning further professional training. The closing chapter is devoted to outlining the programme of vocational schools pedagogy as the basic component of professional pedagogy. The programme is divided into thematic groups. Its starting point is research into the basic socioeconomic consequences of scientific and technological progress concerning the qualification structure of occupations and functions. This research is immediately followed up by theoretical work in the fields of the creation of trade systems, Communist education of apprentices and pupils preparing for occupations, the educational process, the study of content structures, the organization and management of the educational process. The programme includes research into the personality of the teacher, the foreman in charge of professional training, and the tutor; research into socio-economic questions of vocational and trade schools, achievements of young workers and specialists in their practical work; the study of the system of training and education for occupations abroad, historiographical studies and finally the study of the concept apparatus. The basic aim of the work has been to clarify the position and the tasks of professional pedagogy, particularly the vocational schools pedagogy, in the present-day structure of pedagogical sciences, and thus arouse interest on the part of scholars and researchers in the solution of their problems.
